where did you have the most problems?
to me, it installed without any problems, but maybe only because i've got quite some experience with other compilations
letting the author know what exactly has been hard, would allow him/her to simplify/write instructions for it =)

I must admit, I never considered the amount of work in configuration/setup for new users of this layout - I'll get something going. in a perfect world, zero-configuration would be an option, here it seems I'll need to find a more suitable approach like reflux or something like that. I'll make sure to update the info page as soon as something/anything that counts as an improvement towards installing this addon.
I'd hate to see people jam this one in their incinerator because it was impossible to install
its weekend! I need to go wiggle my tail around battlegrounds! >
yeah when it is downloaded it comes in as a .rar. and it is a quest in itself to get it installed.

It looks like it would be a great ui..but for people like me..it needs to be easier to install.. and also if it is possible to give a breakdown photo (like the one NUI has) oh what is what?

fixed 2 errors that popped up:
damagemeters -> errors while loading locales -> delete "localization.de.lua"
Pitbull_Aura -> errors because of unknow spell with dk -> comment out line 603 (in Filter.lua)
didn't notice any other problems as of yet, the bar layout has been mentioned earlier *cough* xD
and remove the Blizzard_* folders, since they will be extracted automatically -> only take up place^^
Exporting my existing UI right now to give this a try. To be honest, its the first Minimalist UI I've ever considered loading. I've always done my own. Looks fantastic, I just hope I can get it running!
Was able to successfully load but I was getting some graphical "hiccups", especially with the cursor. There was a lot of bleed in the color effects. Overall not a bad setup, just needs a fair bit of cleaning up - particularly the unit frames, as you mentioned. I'd like to see some screenshots of it in a raid or BG format before committing to it completely. Some elements also don't adjust themselves to a widescreen setup very well.
from what i noticed (game locale: deDE):
pitbull-aura throws an error on login/ui-reload
bugsack doesn't show up
chatter -> GMOTDDelay.lua throws an error (fixed by deleteting respective module)
damage meters -> errors, but works (error in locale, fixed by deleting it)
friendcolor -> throws error, rendering social panels unusable (aka no names at all, just blank panels)
and you've got a ... quite unique bar setup xD
most people (including me) use bar1/bar2 for most skills, and have a specific order for them
using yours, i'd either a) have to rearrange the bars, or b) setup my skills for your layout
a) wasn't feeling like doing it yesterday (quite late^^)
b) would break nearly every other ui/setup, and i'd have to do it again
if i'm right, you currently have |bar3|bar1|bar2|
i think, using |bar1|bar3|bar2| (or replace bar3 with any other non regular used bar) would save the users quite some setup time, and would make your compilation easier to use =)
about forte: maybe include other class addons, with a side note to disable or delete those that won't be used)
about butsu: it's slim and looks good, but my personal favorite (atm) is lcLoot (available here as well)
one last thing, you forgot to replace your servername with something like "Servername" or similiar + mentioning the profile that should be used with most addons would be a good idea (or set up reflux to do so)
(gladius appears in middle top on first login, dunno if that's intended behaviour or just gladius, so take this as a little side note^^)
I really like your concept, but (as i mentioned) there are a few points that keep me from using it yet

I can't get it to work. I've tried everything, nothing is in place once it's set up... and when I try to use move everything to move it, it creates duplicates and lets me move those, but nothing else... and in the chat box, it has tons of errors of several addons not loading... SEVERAL.
